Adelaide - 11:30am Sunday 24th March 2019
A pleasant walk from Creswell Gardens through parklands to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for a family day of fun and entertainment. Entry includes a free t-shirt, water and sunscreen provided along the way and BBQ, prizes and Roady Games for the kids! The day concludes with live entertainment.
We assemble at 11.30am at Creswell Gardens (East gate of Adelaide Oval) and commence walking at 12.00 noon sharp. Family day activities begin 1.00pm at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The Crewathlon is a ‘fun’ activity and friendly competition between local workers. Many are actively employed with the major events now happening in Adelaide. They encourage production houses, studios, theatres, function/convention centres and festival workers to take part. Prizes are awarded to individual competitors with the State Trophy presented to the winning team.
The Crewathlon shows some of the day-to-day skills needed to work on a live event. They demonstrate the high-level of ability required to work in this career.
- Cable Coiling Comp. 2 team members only. Fastest team wins.
- Obstacle Course. Pushing a road case around an obstacle course.
- Drum Kit Set-up. Setting up a basic drum kit from scratch. The the kit will then be played by a professional drummer. If bits falls off or over, the team will incur a time penalty.
- Guestlist Challenge. All members of the team have to get past a door person & into your gig. Fastest combined time of all them members wins.
